Salve Juan,
Chopin è sempre ben accetto, in ogni ora del giorno e della notte e questa pianista, per me sconosciuta, la sento con piacere nell'anima.
Grazie infinite!!!
Good Life to YOU!!!

Salve Juan,
Good Life to YOU!!!

It's nice to hear such a familiar work wearing new clothes. She plays the Ballades with great virtuosity. Thanks!

Thank you for posting this music.
I have a question or a request. Does it say in the booklet or elsewhere who made the arrangement for the quintet version. Would be very interesting to know. Thank you!

I don't have that information. If someone has it, we were grateful.

Thanks for all the beautiful music! The story of the Quintet version of the Chopin concerto is as follow: in 1832 he shows he concert to the Paris society at Pleyel Salon, with the presence of his master Kalkbrenner and the Baillot string quintet, that played with him in the concert. It seems that in the ocassion they played the string parts without too much variants from the full score; there is not registred the arranger, if one existed. Many years after one Richard Hofmann made a quintet edition that is the one played today, generally with some modifications from the players. Jean Marc Luisada has recorded this version, it seems identical at the one recorded here. There´s also some evidence of previous chamber versions of th two concertos, but no one was printed save the Hofmann one mentioned. Sorry for my english, hope this can help....greetings from Argentina!!
